Manufacturing and Training Engineer

Position Overview
Reporting to the Senior Manager – Engineering, the Manufacturing and Training Engineer is to have experience in New Product Development (Vehicular and Machine Design), Drawing checking for manufacturability, and manufacturing support. In addition, to be able to create and provide training for Maintenance/Repair Procedures.

Accountabilities

  • Review drawings for manufacturability
  • Primary manufacturing support
  • Kallo on-site representative at manufacturing sites
  • Provide governance and KPI on items in manufacture
  • Create procedures and training materials, also provide training on preventative maintenance and repair procedures
  • Assess change impacts, timelines, and implementation points for proposed changes

Key Deliverables during First 12 to 24 months

  • pproved and Released Procedures for Maintenance.
  • Ensuring as Built Configurations match the Engineering Design Configuration.
  • Create training material and provide live training.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • University degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, P.Eng. is an asset
  • At least 4 years of experience in a similar manufacturing position
  • Experience working in testing and manufacturing environments (vehicles and modular buildings)
  • Reviewed and approved drawings for manufacturability
  • Created and maintained procedures and training material
  • Participate and contribute in the improvement of production tools and processes
  • Change management experience for new products and sustaining environments
  • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. Microsoft Project experience is an asset.
  • Required to be able to act as an on-site production support representative
  • Clear communication skills, able to create training materials and provide live training
  • Strong self-starter, logical, interpersonal, problem-solver with strong attention to detail
  • Track record of successful execution, with an energetic ‘can-do’ team player attitude, and an ability to drive and manage change is important
  • Primarily based at customer sites
