Human Resource Manager
Role Summary/Purpose
Maintains and enhances the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating
employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
- Maintains organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program;
counselling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analysing exit interviews;
recommending changes.
- Prepares employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training
programs.
- Maintains a pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys; scheduling and conducting job
evaluations; preparing pay budgets; monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions;
recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions.
- Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to
coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing
and resolving employee grievances; counselling employees and supervisors.
- Maintains employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits by studying and
assessing benefit needs and trends; recommending benefit programs to management; directing
the processing of benefit claims; obtaining and evaluating benefit contract bids; awarding benefit
contracts; designing and conducting educational programs on benefit programs.
- Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal
and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the
organization at hearings.
- Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource
policies and procedures.
- Maintains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system; keeping
past and current records.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing
professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Completes human resource operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees;
following up on work results.
- Maintains human resource staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
- Maintains human resource staff job results by counselling and disciplining employees; planning,
monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Desired Experience
- Demonstrated project management skills including the ability to organize work in an efficient
manner in addition to the ability to work well in results focused & fast paced environment
- Superior telephone etiquette and an ability to deal effectively with customers, peers and
management
- Previous or current experience with Healthcare IT and or Medical device companies
- Strong problem-solving skills and inherent decision-making ability
- Good initiative and assertiveness
- Global Experience in human resource planning, recruitment and management
- Exposure to HR policies and regulations in different countries
Work Conditions
- Sitting for extended periods of time.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other devices and
objects.
- Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in HR
- Min. 5 year human resource management experience, with experience and exposure in full HR
function, including staffing & organization development, C&B, performance evaluation, training
and employee relations; Familiar with local labour laws and regulations
- Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Able to effectively communicate with all levels of staff and have strong influencing skills.
- Strong learning and execution ability, able to manage and drive change
- Energetic, a hands- on team player with can-do attitude, reliable with a positive mind-set
- Able to work under pressure and multi-task
- Strong work ethic and commitment
