Position Overview
Reporting to the Global Vice President – Operations, the Senior Manager –Operational Excellence is a global position that will be focused on all aspects of delivering Business Excellence. Utilizing quality control framework and tools, this role will uphold quality standards throughout Kallo’s operations i.e. Engineering, Supply chain and professional Services. In addition, the role will be responsible for KALLO’s regulatory compliance initiative including associated frameworks.

The Incumbent will implement processes and initiatives to enhance cross-enterprise integration, and create a continuous improvement culture. Implementation will include direct leadership, guiding others to implement, and applying Operational Excellence frameworks to solve the problem and train those working on the initiative.

This position will lead business process improvement through the implementation of Synergy initiatives supporting KALLO’s Operational excellence initiative while adhering to regulatory compliance within the Healthcare sector.

The Senior Manager – Operational Excellence role requires a mix of broad, business and technical acumen coupled with strong people-management skills, and the ability to inspire and influence decisions around continuous improvement.

Accountabilities include leading the development of the framework with internal stakeholders that includes the design, collation, review, analysis, implementation, communication and maintenance of the same.

Accountabilities

  • Develop and execute an integrated platform across all of KALLO’s operations for measuring operational agility: annually, quarterly and monthly.
  • Improve productivity and capability of the workforce through current technology enablement, training, process improvement and identifying best practices (e.g., 6S & Lean methodology).
  • Lead the execution of risk management, information security, and data compliance corporate initiatives across all the business units.
  • Develop action plans, schedules, budgets, status reports and metrics to improve the status of risk management, information security, and data compliance at KALLO.
  • Define and implement a risk-based approach to identifying, monitoring, measuring and reporting various types of security risk and compliance issues.
  • Drive the development and communication of policies, procedures, and plans to internal stakeholders regarding Enterprise and risk management best practices and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Develop analytical tools and reports (e.g. Rate models, procurement models, value stream mapping, stewardship models) in order to manage performance.
  • Using data collection and survey reporting methods in order to monitor and improve performance (e.g., forecast variance, total spending, and cost savings)
  • Coaching, motivating, developing talent.

Key Deliverables during First 12 to 24 Months

  • Preparation and implementation of continuous Improvement Frameworks for Kallo operations ; specifically for Engineering, IT, Supply Chain and Professional Services)
  • Identify and develop reporting platforms including dashboards for monthly scorecards and QBR’s.
  • Develop and execute strategic plan for governance, risk, and compliance.
  • Assist in design requirements, development and testing, in conjunction with software developers, engineering and key operational staff towards the continuous improvement of an enhanced QA program.
  • Develop policies and standard operating procedures in conjunction with key individuals and departments across the organization, in accordance with FCPA regulation.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with the Company's departments such as Internal IT, Professional Services, Project Management Office, Procurement, Engineering, and any others as determined applicable.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge laws and regulations applicable to the Healthcare industry.
  • Experience with implementing continuous improvement quality assurance tools & framework mandatory.
  • Experience in development and administration of corporate risk management and compliance programs.
  • Minimum 10 years work relevant experience.
  • Certifications Required:
    • Six Sigma Black Belt
    • ISO Standards
    • ITIL
  • Deep understanding in all aspects of risk management, data compliance, information security strategy, technologies and tools.
  • Direct experience with successfully implementing and managing an IT GRC tool (e.g., Archer, Modulo, MetricStream, etc.).
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to work effectively with the executive level.
  • Excellent conceptual and critical thinking skills and sound judgment, with strategic orientation and ability to perform tactically, as required.
  • Proven experience developing and submitting audit and compliance reports to governing bodies, legal entities, and/or external authorities.
  • Solid understanding of assessing and designing internal controls in an enterprise-level environment.
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA, SOX and PIPEDA.
  • Bachelors in business/technology required; Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
