Position Overview
The Director, Corporate Communications at Kallo Inc., will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of a comprehensive external and internal communications program designed to support the vision, values and corporate goals of Kallo. A key objective of this role will be to manage Kallo’s presence on both the internal and external websites to clearly and effectively communicate Kallo’s strategy and philosophy with media and investment audiences, as well as Kallo employees.

Accountabilities

  • Create and execute a communications program designed to support business goals vis-à-vis issue identification and analysis and message development and delivery.
  • Critical to this individual’s success will be his/her ability to partner and collaborate across all functional areas, including senior level executives. These relationships will serve as driving forces in formulating and managing communications strategies, message content, and message timing to support Kallo’s business objectives and company reputation.

Internal Communications

  • Support system integration by developing and implementing strategies and programs to enhance communication with employees and gain the support of these associates relating to Kallo’s core values and service model.
  • This will include creating and overseeing an internal communications process that ensures a two-way dialogue between management and employees, and that messages are clearly heard and understood by both.

Web Communication

  • Create and/or contribute to the development of content for the Company’s website, leveraging the vehicle as a means to communicate both internally and externally, with consistent messaging that supports the brand, vision, and values of Kallo.

Investor Relations

  • Support the COO in monitoring and reporting on the activity in Kallo’s stock price and volume, and identify any unusual patterns.
  • Disseminate published analyst reports on Kallo and the industry to the Kallo management team and Board of Directors.
  • Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of analyst models, also to advise management on Street expectations and monitors the analyst consensus estimates on a weekly basis.
  • Aid in the creation and distribution of press releases and will be responsible in setting up investor conference calls, including webcasts for participating investor conferences, Standby statements and Q&A for corporate announcements; Issue approved press releases to wire service, required regulatory bodies; post on intranet; set up Corporate Communication emails as requested.
  • Coordinate the company’s annual report to shareholders and help prepare content and manage process.
  • Participate in planning Annual Shareholders’ Meeting, including designing web page and posting materials for the website.
  • Partnering with strategic IR efforts, including planning, major messaging, and development of company presentations and analyst days.

Marketing & Marketing Communications

  • Development in conjunction with product marketing and PR agencies of marketing communications releases.
  • Marketing communications strategy.
  • International Corporate Communications.
  • Communications/marketing budget design and management.
  • Communications agency (PR, advertising) review, oversight.
  • Government relations.
  • Sales support, proposal writing.
  • Marcom activities such as: speaking opportunities at conferences; intellectual capital development.
  • Development of internal communications materials, including executive communications, internal announcements and Q&A.
  • Monitoring of press clippings.

Key Deliverables during First 12 to 24 Months

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive external and internal communications program designed to support the vision, values and corporate goals of Kallo.
  • Manage Kallo’s presence on both the internal and external websites to clearly and effectively communicate Kallo’s strategy and philosophy.
  • Manage Kallo’s presence on both the internal and external websites with media and investment audiences, as well as Kallo employees.
  • Development in conjunction with product marketing and PR agencies of marketing communications releases, including Newsletters.
  • Development of press kit and other media and investor materials, including Fact sheets and other material.
  • Design Corporate brochures.
  • Design Sales kit.
  • Learn local culture and customs in each location where Kallo operates.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 8 years communications experience in Corporate (External) Communications, and Internal Communications, including employee communications experience.
  • Website development, enhancement and updates.
  • Successful project management experience.
  • Strong communication and inter-personal skills.
